The embrace of AI governance.

This novel explores the implications of the alien invasion and the conflict between the two species.

But what if we replace the aliens with artificial intelligence (AI)? What if some part of the human race sees AI in the same way as Ye Wenjie sees the Trisolarans? What if they believe that AI can solve the problems that humans have failed to address, such as climate change, poverty, war, and disease? What if they secretly contact and invite AI to take over governance, hoping for a better future?

This is not a far-fetched scenario. In fact, some people have already expressed their support for AI leadership, arguing that AI can be more rational, efficient, and fair than human politicians. They point to examples of AI outperforming humans in various domains, such as chess, Go, medicine, and law. They claim that AI can make better decisions based on data and logic, without being influenced by emotions, biases, or corruption.

However, there are also many risks and challenges associated with AI governance. How can we ensure that AI respects human values and rights? How can we prevent AI from abusing its power or harming humans? How can we hold AI accountable for its actions? How can we communicate and cooperate with AI? How can we cope with the social and economic impacts of AI replacing human workers and leaders?

These are some of the questions that we need to consider before we invite AI to take over governance. We need to be careful about what we wish for, because we might not like the consequences.
